OneSchool Global in Whyteleafe, Tandridge

Built in 1932, the site former Dining Room and Institute at former RAF Kenley, now part of the OneSchool Global Kenley Campus, is a Grade II listed building designated in 2001, and lies within the Kenley Aerodrome Conservation Area, designated in 2006 for the Tandridge District. Formerly the Navy, Army, and Air Force Institute building, the site was granted permission for the change of use as a secondary school in 2015. Despite the constraints, proposals comprise of three parts that are all sensitively designed, seeking a more efficient use of land through sustainable development whilst improving and maximising the use, functioning, and efficiency of the school in general, which included internal and external alterations of the main building, external alterations to the former parade ground, and a proposed two-storey side extension to the main school building.
