Established in 1984, Historic England’s Register of Parks and Gardens lists over 1,700 significant designed landscapes.

Each record is on the National Heritage List for England (NHLE), a public, searchable database of protected heritage, which also includes scheduled monuments, registered battlefields, and most other forms of statutorily designated heritage asset.
