Headley Hall in Headley, Surrey
Project Outline
Built in the early 19th century, the application site has been altered, extended, and subdivided throughout centuries, and is a Grade II listed building designated in 1966. The subdivision into three separate dwellings after 1955 had caused severe restricted movement and associated flow across the property. Proposals hence aim to restore the property as closely to its state prior to this conversion as possible, whilst to improve the site from a perspective of use, functioning, and circulation. The application submitted on 9th February 2024 included a rear-infill extension; internal alterations including restoration, reinstatement of former historic features, removal of insignificant and/or harmful structures, and re-configuration of walls and openings; together with smaller scale external alterations including full refurbishment on windows and fenestration, and the restoration of features like portico, colonnade, statue, gable etc.
