78 Marine Parade in Worthing, West Sussex
Project Outline
Built in the early 19th century, the site is part of three terrace houses Nos. 77-79 Marine Parade, listed under the same entry number as a Grade II listed building designated in 1949, and is within the Marine Parade and Hinterland Conservation Area, designated in 2000. This project is to seek retrospective listed building consent for the remedial works already undertaken at the beginning of 2023. Works included the relocation of kitchen and bathroom, involving the removal of partition walls and the replacement of non-original front windows with double-glazed timber casements. Impacts of work are essentially negligible and appropriate, given its already much altered state and its fabric comprises only one component part of the general listing.
