Honeywood Museum in Carshalton, London Borough of Sutton

Project Outline

Built in the late 18th century and designated a Grade II listed building in 1974, Honeywood Museum is further located in Carshalton Village Conservation Area, designated in 1968.

WS Heritage was instructed by the London Borough of Sutton Council to obtain listed building consent for works to failing roof level fabric and other minor issues across the property, addressing numerous instances of water ingress.

Given that previous approaches to the site had consistently and demonstrably failed, WS Heritage worked closely with main contractors Stonewest to configure remedial works appropriate to the property’s age, design and unfortunately eroded significance, before submitting associated proposals to the authority on the 21st February 2023.
