No.7 The Avenue in London W4
Project Outline
Proposals for the application site comprise the construction of a single-storey and flat-roofed rear infill extension, and other general refurbishments to the property. It follows the thrust of the previously approved application dated 5th July 2018. Built in 1875-6, the site forms part of the Grade II Nos. 7 and 9, The Avenue, designated in 1970, and is located within the Bedford Park Conservation Area, designated in 1969. The design of the proposed extension has been amended from the previous scheme to comprise a flat roof which will lower the height of the extension, whilst remaining subservient and securing optimum viable use of the designated host. General refurbishments proposed included the replacement of existing deteriorated doors and windows to the rear, installation of a new internal opening at ground floor level to assist practical functioning, and refitting the bathrooms on first floor level.
